Milano Moda Uomo Highlights: Marcelo Burlon

Marcelo Burlon surely knows how to throw a party.
Turns out, he also knows how to throw an epic showcase, just as the one which took place during Milano Moda Uomo, in the underground location of Teatro Vetra, right in the centre of Milan.

The concert-like showcase of Burlon – featuring a live band placed at the very centre of the stage – included kimonos and samurai skirts, PVC and laced-up trousers.
An ode to the multi cultural layers which have always inspired the designer – and which have helped him developed a real, strong, powerful cult around Burlon’s brand – the collection was inspired by layered knowledge Burlon has collected through his experienced living and traveling around the globe.

Starting with ninja iconography – here explained the exaggerated hoodies, bomber jackets and shorts – he then dig into metal assertiveness, finally landing toward outer space futurism – interpreted through robotic trousers, jumpsuits and multi-pocket field jackets.

An intertwining of worlds and dimensions, a convergence of polar opposites portraying the power of multiculturalism.
This is the new County of Milan.
